fulfilling. my day in one word for ya.

ranking game today wasnt pretty but for some reason i managed to hang in long enough for a 73. it might have been the home course advantage, it might have been my bright yellow pants, it might have been the air, it might have been the countless games i've had this year where disaster springs upon me round every bend to the point of utter exhaustion and frustration strong enough to will my ball into the hole.

it might have just been the sheer grit and determination to just get the bloody thing in the hole.

whatever it was it sure worked. like i said. it wasn't pretty but it worked. and thats all i need i guess, something that works. something that produces results. i need to start PLAYing golf again.

post game activities included lunch with the boys. several games pool, snooker, card ball and 7 hands of hold'em poker. relaxing and enjoyable. trust the boys all had a good time.

chipped round with sunshine and george after that. havent had a good compeditive practice session like that in a long time. satisfying.

cabbed back and had pretty good dining hall food before heading up to the IT room to study with foo, JP, richie, lingling, jov and nickers. mucked around with youtube a bit first but eventually got some work done. relatively productive but its more than i would have done by myself.

richie, jov and linling left around 9.30 leaving us to study for a little longer.

3 catholics and a christian. all God fearing teenagers with real issues and real things to talk about. havent had a conference conversation with that much meaning and purpose in a very long time. it felt good to finally get down and talk some very real and personal issues out with everyone but at the same time it was like reality giving a little slap in the face to say "wake up dude. straighten up and get life back on track"

conversation topics ranged from...phantom of the opera to constantine (the movie not me), exorcisms to the liturgical calander, Christian denominations to the order of the Catholic mass, popes to satanists, gangsters to sex, parents to siblings, gossip to death and everything in between.

how long since i had a good heart to heart conversation with 3 awesome guys like that?
