so I didn't win the golden spittun the meleka amateur open winner gets but hey, its a pretty decent start to the end of year cow grass season. haha.
but first...
did my final show with benji wednesday night. really has been a great run and have had so much fun with the guy. came out pretty good again and we were all so relieved that the last minute jobs were finally coming to an end. will attempt to ask binz to convert the show into video format so i can keep it as a souviner! haha. yeah.
moving on...
went up with josh, greggy, george, aunty jo and uncle calvin thursday morning and played prac round. course was soggy and soft from afternoon rains but greens were rock hard. tough shit. apartment we stayed at was sad to say the least. only tv channels were cinemax and espn, watched pamela andersons "barbed wire" for entertainment the first night.
roomed with joshua, had about an hour of pillow fighting each day for the rights to the other pillow. keep in mind we're 2 6 foot tall 16 year olds fighting over a pillow...morons...
shot 79, 78 chopping it to leave myself in 3rd place after 2 rounds on a brutal course. made the final pairing with 36hole leader josh and 2 malaysians. but kinda stumbled early out of the blocks and never recovered. in fact, started damn horribly. 7 over after my first 6. it was going sideways to say the least. managed to grind my arse off and keep myself in decent shape for a top 5 finish but eventually bogeyed 17 and 18 for an 82. but considering my regrettable start and the bitch pin positions coming home it wasn't too bad.
at least I've given myself a little momentum going into the closing set of events for the year. thats 3 top 10's in my last 3 starts to yeah, i reckon the move was a good idea. joshua fell back with an 85 but got me by a shot, jerome was highest singaporean one shot better.
i finished 7th and won some big ass stero system with vcd and mp3 player functions for my troubles. not too bad i gotta say. trying to schedule more malaysian events for next year though. well worththe 2 hour cramped car ride.
all in all had a blast and really did wonders for rejuvinating me. felt so much like a good old fashioned road trip. feel so much better now and cant wait to get going for my last few tourneys. gotta finish off the year right.
going for some LIGHT thing with the guys later today. gotta start getting ready for ASHIRA the musical, totally stoked about that.
next events: youth trails, DBS golf challenge (last one) and the SICC junior invitational (the years final major)...cant wait!
God Love You All
spread the lovin'
