timeline of my evening...

7.16pm tuaks picks me up to go to gig. cuzzin seth in car, havent seen him in ages :)
7.45pm plodding through traffic, tuaks gives killer impression of grumps ;)
8.15pm FINALLY get to the GAS HAUSE! really sleezy looking backalley joint but homey atmosphere in a 1930s gansterish kinda way...severe lack of furniture.
8.30pm first band finally gets up there. some bloody nutjob black metal junkies. probably consumed by the spirit of satan...couldnt understand a word. probably glad i couldnt...
8.37pm down first drink of 7up+vodka...performance becomes slightly more bearable
8.50pm next band takes stage. combo of indians and malays. small farts, but just as noisy and just as unbearable.
8.55pm down second drink of 7up+vodka. spot fellow churchie jerome in crowd, sit and drink while he has a puff. music is still crap
9.20pm second band still belting out horrible shrieks and screams, jerome and i down 3rd drink of redbull+vodka...not helping
9.30pm FINALLY ethan's band "offkey'd" takes the stage, I'm relieved. met up jeromes friends in the band "sunset blvd"
9.33pm they start off with strong rendition of "American Idiot" 7/10
9.38pm 2nd song is "first date" (ironic huh?) still on a roll 7/10
9.40pm down 4th drink of redbull+vodka..jerome and i plan to go confession tomorrow
9.43pm 3rd song "hell song" not fantastic... 6/10
9.50pm 4th song of "what's her name" barely audible...4/10
9.54pm attempted own composition wasn't even close to good...4/10...crowd losing interest...
10pm last song and I gotta say they absolutely BLEW THE ROOF OFF THE GAS HAUSE with an unbelievable rendition of green day's "holiday" I'm a fan of that song now...awesome awesome performance. finished it strong! crowd went wild! 9/10!
10.10pm down last drink for the evening, a coke with burbon
10.20pm get ride home
10.45pm shower...den blog and download "HOLIDAY"
to ethan and the rest of offkey'd: absolutely awesome performance guys! loved it! definitely beat the hell out of the black metal guys! rock on! I'd love to come to another gig soon! keep rockin' :)

meanwhile, I've got volvo game tomorrow...I've had enough to drink to sleep well thanks ;) GodSpeed
