just got back from practice day at SICC Bukit for the Singapore Open Amateur and I'm shagged.

played the prac round at 7.48 with george, gregory and gab. started on 10 and just plodded along trying to scope out and get a feel for the course while of course, enjoying the wonderful company and having a good time.

got my double driver strategy for the week and it should hold up pretty alright, still trying to tweak some comfort into my swing but at least I'm hitting the ball better now. putting's getting there, confidence starting to come back and thats gonna be a huge factor this week on those tricky little greens.

got a great caddy called ah hok for the week, and he seems nice enough. been bagging at sicc for over 42 years since he was 12 so i figure ive definately got the experience on my side. walked most of the way chatting with gregory foo, everything from golf, to toilet humor, to our futures and stage fright. basically a very relaxing morning and i like my chances of a good showing this week.

after game went with puff, george and gab to eat some mutton soup and stuff at the beauty world coffee shop. pretty good stuff, havent been there in a while. gab's dad's treat! thanks uncle george! :)

got back to sicc and went with shawn gab and george to the golden triangle short game area for a little more practice, beat george in a chippin comp and really got comfortable on cow grass chippin again.'

cabbed back with shawn and just gonna take it easy for the rest of the day i guess.

i'm feelin pretty good and hopeful for a change in fortunes this week.
