as I take the occtional break from my moustache hair plucking I can't help but stop and ponder the reason why people would decide to go ahead and do things that cause them a marginal amount discomfort which, in high doses, causes some pain. enough of that and it becomes suffering. too much of that and you eventually wind up in the loony bin. all for the sake of looks.

having said that I'm pretty much safe from such an ill fate seeing as how I've already done my time in the nuthouse. but why would "other" humans bother going through such treatment just for the sake of beauty.

well one word. vanity. yep, i said it...vainty...one of the 7 deadly sins. but you may ask why do people *blah blah blah* i know...I'm getting to that. hang on, its my blog. i aint going no where.

2 ways i see it. how you feel is generally based on how you look (or percieve you look). or, how you look is based on how you feel. in sinple terms its an extension of the ego.

why do people dress up? cause they wanna feel good, why? cause they wanna be noticed, why? because they want people to see their incredibly high amount of self confidence...all brought about by their good image (ie. how good they look)...making sense here? well everyone's entitled to an opinion.

conversely if you feeling shitty about yourself you dont tend to look like a million bucks. you could care less about what you're wearing (if anything at all) and your shithole of depression kinda gets deeper by the minute. BUT! if you're dressed to kill chances are you're feelin unstoppable. and it feels good doesnt it?

okay enough about my logic and back to moustache picking...will probably dive deeper into this topic when I get back tonight cause recently its been something thats very close to my heart...

well i'm off now

spread the lovin'
